Case Study


For more than 20 years our Event Services team has supported the British Association of Dermatologists with the organisation of its Annual Meeting – and every year has presented fresh challenges.

One such meeting was staged in Edinburgh at the EICC, with the venue spread over 4 floors and 2 exhibition halls. The challenge was to devise a floorplan where footfall was maximised across both exhibition halls, ensuring all exhibitors had an equal flow of delegates.

Preparations start 12 months prior to the event date, with our operations team involved in planning meetings, floor plan creations and exhibitor site visits.

Careful management of the venue is always required; this year’s challenge was the use of two halls for the exhibition. By ensuring delegates had lunch vouchers to visit both halls over the three-day meeting, The BAD were able to guarantee equal exposure for all exhibitors.

A unique facility we were able to utilise this year was the raised flooring in the Lennox Hall. Moving our display boards on large pallets to level -1 for the poster presentations was made easier by using this facility, therefore reducing the install time.



After almost a year of planning, several face to face meetings and over 1,200 emails, we helped to welcome approx. 1,400 delegates and exhibitors to the 98th Annual Meeting of the British Association of Dermatologists.

Our operations team were responsible for overseeing the installation of 68 exhibition stands, 220m² of shell scheme and 200 poster boards in order to create an engaging exhibition and conference.
